MONISTAT®: Three Convenient Strengths to Serve Your Needs

When it comes to curing a vaginal yeast infection, you want an effective and convenient yeast infection treatment. Try over the counter MONISTAT®. MONISTAT® products are available in a variety of treatment dosages and systems so that you have options to meet your unique needs. Below is guidance to help you choose which MONISTAT® product to use:

• Highest Dose MONISTAT® 1 may be the perfect solution for busy women with active lifestyles. This powerful single-dose product is available in the Ovule® form. Contains 1200 mg of miconazole nitrate in one single dose. The Ovule® is a soft egg-shaped form of antifungal medication. It is inserted into the vagina with an applicator. The Ovule® is scientifically developed with an advanced formula that helps the treatment stay in place so the Ovule® stays in place and can therefore be used any time during the day or night, making it a great solution for women who don’t want to wait until bedtime to begin treating their yeast infection, or those who exercise frequently or engage in a high level of activity.

  Note: There is another 1-day MONISTAT® option for those who believe they may have sensitivity to the ingredients found in creams, or to the high dose of miconazole nitrate in the MONISTAT® 1 Ovule®. MONISTAT® 1 Simple Therapy™ Ointment includes one, ready-to-use pre-filled applicator with tioconazole ointment 6.5%.

• Regular Strength MONISTAT® 3 is a great option for women who want a less concentrated treatment that provides consistent treatment and relief at moderate dosage levels.  MONISTAT® 3 is available in Ovule® inserts, suppositories, and pre-filled cream product options. Contains 200 mg of miconazole nitrate in each of three nightly doses.
• Low Dose MONISTAT® 7 is available as a cream with smaller doses of the active ingredient evenly distributed throughout the week at bedtime. Only 7-day topical yeast infection treatments are recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the treatment of yeast infections in pregnant and diabetic women (consult your healthcare professional).  Contains 100 mg of miconazole nitrate in each of seven nightly doses.
